Organizational Culture

Organizational culture is defined as the “shared assumptions, values, beliefs, language, symbols, and meanings systems in an organization” (Littlejohn & Foss 2009). I decided to include two types of brand analysis in my portfolio to illustrate the different types of analyses that can be conducted depending on the rhetorical implication and IMC problem. I also included a product that highlights how societal challenges such as racial disparity can make their way into an organization's culture.

Blue Cross Blue Shield Analysis

I conducted an analysis on the popular insurance company Blue Cross Blue Shield. In this analysis I evaluate many parts of their organization including their offerings, strengths, weakness, messaging and communication channels. I also provide recommendations to their organization that may help to improve the overall cohesiveness of the organization.

The American Red Cross Analysis

Similar to the previous analysis, this product is also a brand analysis. However, this analysis focuses on the rebranding efforts of The American Red Cross. After their organizations credibility was questioned due to ethical practices, they decided to rebrand themselves. This analysis evaluates the effectiveness of the rebrand.
